Are you a brand snob?

Hello everyone! It's been a minute but I've been working like crazy getting the new walk in freezer filled and organized to bring you all the yummies y'all seem to like so much!

A couple of weeks ago, I made chicken salad for the weekly salad and it was a big hit. More so than I expected. I had one customer reach out and ask if I used Miracle Whip in the chicken salad. Can you imagine? But this got me to thinking. I'm not a brand snob about much but I take my mayo pretty serious. It's Dukes all the way! Now, I will confess that during the pandemic, I had to resort to Hellman's a time or two. Desperate times as you know.

This got me to thinking about other things people are serious about. Men and their trucks for instance. You've got your Ford men and your Dodge men. My grandpa was definitely a Dodge man. And then you've got your Republicans and your Democrats. Grandpa was also a lifelong Democrat and was proud of it! One day, he was going thru his wallet and showing me all the cards he had when he pulled out his voter registration card. I said, "this says you are a Republican". Even with dementia, he said, "no!"

Well, back to the Duke's vs. Miracle whip. I'm sure Miracle whip is good for something, I just can't think of anything off the top of my head. Definitely not chicken salad though I can say for sure!
